3rd day of filming

On Thursday January 7th, we had our third day of filming. After attendance in 2nd period we headed to the local grocery store. Originally we planned to go to Publix. I talked to my mom and she mentioned that Publix may be too busy. Around the corner from my house there is a food service store. It looks just like a normal grocery store except the products are in bulk so less people shop there. At around 9:30 in the morning we all arrived. The first shot was of Blake pulling into a parking spot. We made sure to included the GFS sign to give the viewer clues to the setting. After filming outside, we headed inside to begin shooting the actual grocery scenes. The aisle where the water was located was in the back of the store and empty so that was the best place to start. We did have a little trouble with the audio in the scene. Because we were wearing masks we need to talk much louder than normal so the audience could hear the lines. After finishing that scene, we moved to the toilet paper and sanitizer isle. We switched who filmed each time so that it didn’t look like a character was missing. In this day of filming we worked especially hard to change up the shots and angles so that it wasn’t a medium shots. The final shot for this scene was toilet paper. We put away the cart that we borrowed and headed back outside. Before leaving we thanked the workers for letting us film. When outside I airdropped all of the footage from my phone to Blake so he could add it to Final Cut Pro. We established that we would meet again tomorrow after school.
